Looking to find my niche that strengthens my talents; encourages my creativity and enhances my knowledge of the industry.
I’ve lived in the Cincinnati area most of my life, and I’ve always had a passion for the arts. In 2003 I was introduced to a new form of art, film making. I found out quickly that a career in the wedding business takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I continued to find other interests, not only in weddings; but also in other forms of video production.
After working in a production studio for five years, I decided to attend an art college in 2007 to pursue a degree in Video Production. I enrolled at The Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati to take my art education to a new level. In 2009 I graduated with an Associates Degree in Video Production, this is where my new career began.
After I graduated I was offered a part time position at a local TV station in North Dayton, Ohio shooting commercials, sport promos, bumpers and live sporting events. I continued to work there for about a year; but when the company went under in January of 2011, I went back to filming weddings to keep my strengths and knowledge of the industry fresh and new. In July I decided to take on somthing new that would show off my filming and edting style, so I got my chance to film two music videos and other freelance project during the summer!
It’s hard to really say what kind of style I have as a film maker; but as for weddings, I think I’ve nailed it. I found that I mainly specialize in shooting and in post-production (editing, visual effects); but I find that working through the entire process strengthens my talents as a professional.
I have been in the industry since 2003.
