Let me first start out by saying that I have a very high passion for this type of work. I have been doing this type of work since high school where we would shoot sporting events, a video yearbook, run a weekly show on our local cable access channel & basic editing duties.
I am now volunteering at my church on the production team. I started in 2007 as a Camera Operator, then I was asked to learn the Technical Director Role and currently I was asked if I wanted to do Video Directing. This would be the person who calls out all the camera shots, pays attention to detail, follows the script & keeps everyone on the team on the same page.
I enjoy running camera as my favorite of all jobs, it gives me a chance to become creative as I can point out things the director doesn't know as we are his eyes to the world. I have also ran boom mic on a small weekend project film.
I am posting my information here and if you are in need of a camera person for a gig, please let me know.
My end goal is to get a job in this kind of work full-time. I currently do full-time work as a IT-Technician and production was a hobby of mine that I would very much like to turn into a full-time career. My dream job would be to work for one of the major networks like Fox Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports or ABC Sports.
Thanks for your time in reading my information.
I have been in the industry since 2007.
