About Me

My name is Santiago Vasconcelos, I come from Portugal and grew up within the Music and Television area. My family owns the company ‘Valentim de Carvalho’ (www.valentim.pt) which is a very respectable TV production company nowadays. From the day I remember, I always knew I would end up doing Music or Television because it really is what fascinates me the most and I always felt I wanted to be a part of it.
I studied TV Production in London but my real work experience was in Portugal where I was able to work as an AVID Senior Editor on a cable channel and also on Cap-Vert's Presidential Elections. I also studied Business Management, which gave me a great perspective of how a companies work nowadays.
The jobs I mentioned earlier gave me an excellent notion of how a post-production house works. I worked 10 hours a day in different shifts and I was responsible for a TV Show on Benfica TV. I also went to Cap-Vert for the Presidential Elections and I was responsible for an AVID station that we brought from Portugal. This gave me really good experience in what concerns to AVID Hardware and everything surrounding an Edit Station.
