Kell Ramos is a Professional Independent Video Producer from Trenton, NJ. His original background is in the Mortgage and Real Estate Industry, but in 2006 he started a small production company, Somar 2 Productions LLC to follow through on his strong desire and lifelong ambition to use a camera to document and tell amazing stories.
Since 2006, Ramos has produced over 40 independent film and video projects such as fundraising videos, promotional videos for non-profit organizations, artists and businesses and :30 commercials aired on such networks as, TNT, A&E, WMCN and WZBN.
In 2009, Ramos created a Television show entitled, “The Urban Evolution,” airing on “WMCN-Get it on TV Philly,” which is distributed in over 2.6 million homes throughout the entire Delaware Valley and Philadelphia TV market. The goal of the show is to Document the heart and soul of a city as it evolves, focusing on the people, places and scenes that operate and thrive under the radar. The Urban Evolution achieves this goal by showcasing art, music, culture, issues and events, as they happen to capture an urban area’s true essence, while simultaneously uplifting the communities in which they serve.
Between 2008 and 2010, Kell Ramos licensed over 40 hours of documentary footage as a certified video archivist to “Tower Productions” and “Gangland Productions” to be aired on 4 separate episodes of the hit syndicated Television show, “Gangland,” which aired on The History Channel and Spike TV.
Ramos has been involved in many prominent projects over the course of his career such as filming the Tabor Recovery House fundraising events with keynote speakers such as, NY Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman, former NY Yankee and NY Met baseball legend and future hall of fame member Daryl Strawberry and Baseball Managing great Bobby Valentine. Ramos also co-produced part of former NY Yankee pitcher Hideki Irabu’s tribute video by filming and overseeing the interview of two former NY Yankee greats and future hall of fame members, Pitchers David Wells and David Cone.
Another project of prominence for Kell Ramos was being selected to Produce the farewell tribute video for Douglas H Palmer, in commemoration of his public service for being Mayor of Trenton, NJ for 20 years. President Bill Clinton, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and NJ Assemblywomen Bonnie Watson Coleman were all interviewed by Kell Ramos and included on the tribute video.
Ramos has an associate degree in Communications from MCCC, a one year film making certification from The Digital Film Academy in NYC and is currently studying to receive his BA from Thomas Edison State College.
