Camera Operator , Steadicam Owner / Operator
For the past 8 years Adam Heim, owner of Arctic Entertainment Inc. has lived, worked, & developed television concepts and documentary series programs professionally in South Florida.
Adam began his filmmaking career as a young teenager in Memphis, Tennessee, where he became the sole videographer for a professional skateboarder named Alejandro Ortiz. Together they traveled the country making videos for Mr. Ortiz’s sponsors. Three years later Mr. Heim moved on to become an apprentice in the heating & air conditioning field. After a few years doing HVAC work, Adam realized how much he missed filmmaking and decided to go to a film school where he could learn proper technique and be inspired once again. Mr. Heim graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
In 2010 Mr. Heim became professionally certified as a steadicam operator. That’s when his commercial television career began to flourish. In 2014 he was accepted into the Television Academy and he now votes for the Emmy Awards annually. More recently from the year 2014 through the present Mr. Heim is the Director of Photography for a PBS / Create TV series titled ‘Taste the Islands’ which focuses on showcasing delicious Caribbean cuisine that can be easily be made at home.
In 2015 Mr. Heim signed his first documentary – series development deal with Al Roker Entertainment to executive produce a series he created titled ‘Through the Cracks’ which followed a private investigator on his journey to rescue kidnapped children & victims of human trafficking in South Florida. Since then Mr. Heim works as a steadicam / camera operator for films & television along with continuing his passion to bring meaningful television back to the forefront by creating multiple documentary – series ideas that deal with everyday life problems and tackle tough issues in today’s society.
I have been in the industry since 2010.
