My name is Dmitri Sestakov I have graduated from Full Sail University in March 2012, with Computer Animation Bachelor of Science degree with GPA 3.91. During my education among others I received Course Director Awards in character animation as well as Advanced Achiever Award.
Why CG and Animation?
I wanted to be an animator since I was 11 years old. I started of with short animations in all my textbooks at school. Sometimes that lead to disciplinary actions from teachers, but I didn't care, I have always loved to bring images to live. Since there was no animation school in Estonia, I had to make my way to US in order to get proper education. Now after graduating, I'm another step closer towards my childhood dream. During my education, I have discovered that my interests touches all aspects of CG creation, starting with modeling, going through rigging and animation and finishing with final rendering and comositing. I also proved to be very good at all of it. Just test me. My interest and skills doesn't stop there, game creation is another field I'm looking forward to do in the future.
Right now looking forward to keep learning and grow as CG generalist with accent on animation; work and get real world experience. Master degree is definitely in my list. After that, time will show, but as animator, I have great plans in mind.
