About Me
My name is Gabriel Kilby and I am a professional sound technician. I specialize in live audio, AV systems, and location recording. I also work with video from a post production side, dealing with both video and audio editing. I currently reside in Portland, OR.
I offer services with a professional approach to all live sound applications, with experience ranging from concerts, live broadcast, off-Broadway theater, ceremonies, weddings, church services, corporate events and video shoots. I have had hands-on experience with a large scope of professional audio equipment as well as having a thorough musical background which helps to connect the technical and creative aspects of audio production.
I was also a touring guitarist, and thus very aware of what a performer wants, even when it is not realistic. By performing as a musician as well as working behind a mixing console, I have learned how to effectively communicate and work with both artists and venues.
In relation to video and broadcast, I have done everything from running the switcher at live events to operating booms and cameras, to sitting and editing the footage and/or audio in live and post production. I have worked both in venues and out on location for video shoots. No matter the setting, I can perform at a highly professional level.
I have been in the industry since 2009.
