About Me
I have been working in the Entertainment industry for six years. I am passionate and love to improve and test my skill and knowledge. My resume details the experience I have in theatre and film both in and out of the classroom. In high school I did theatre almost every day after school. I spent as much time working there as I did during class. I lettered, and was part of the International Thespian Society. In my first show I worked under a professional Sound Designer. My hard work and quick learning landed me the position as Head of Sound for the next play. I pushed myself to try new ways to use sound effects and created my own by overlapping several for a specific “tone” or setting. I taught others, and trained the next Head of Sound. In high school and college I have worked not only Sound but Lights, Props and Set Construction. I have also held the positions of Stage Manager and Tech Director. In film I have held the positions of Gaffer, Sound Mixer, Boom Op, Props Master/ Set Decorator and PA.
I love Entertainment and the work I do. I hold myself to a professional level which I believe is evident in not only my work in high school, but in college work and when I was hired by my old high school to work as a Sound Designer. I strive to improve and to learn constantly. I take everything as a learning experience and I never give up. Even my work outside the theatre reflects this: I worked 2 jobs for 40+ hours a week and love it. I love to be busy. My favorite time at work is when I get to “run around like a chicken with its head cut off” because we're crazy busy. I live for the things I love and Entertainment tops the list.
I have had the great fortune of working several sets since moving here. I have worked as a PA on a several sets. At the moment my portfolio is fairly small but it is growing every week and I constantly look to add to it and my knowledge, experience and contacts.
