About Me

An aspiring filmmaker, Nara DeMuro received her BA in Film & Television at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Hailing from the suburbs of Detroit, Nara has always had an active imagination and got her start directing school musicals and family vacation videos. Her first short film, Under the Big Top, was an official selection for The New Visions and Voices Festival, NYU's Fusion Film Festival, and earned her the Gucci Women in Cinema Award in 2012. She is currently in post-production for her second short film, Molly. Eager to understand and embrace all aspects of the entertainment world, Nara has had the opportunity to work at a number places such as 21st Century Fox, Half Yard Productions, and for directors and producers like Jonathan Demme and Jane Startz.
