I recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in May 2011, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photojournalism with a minor in Journalism and Film. During the past year and a half of my time at RIT I concentrated on studying video editing and storytelling. I have found my real talent and passion to be in filmmaking; I enjoy both shooting and editing video. I just recently moved back to Rochester after finishing internships in New York City at two Production companies, Turn of the Century Pictures and Atlas Productions.
I’m currently a student member of the National Press Photographer’s Association. While at Rochester Institute of Technology I won first place in the multimedia category of the RIT NPPA What We Do Show 2011, for my documentary film titled “Welcome Home Daddy” which can be viewed on my Vimeo page: vimeo.com. It also showed in the SPAS Honors Show at RIT and won Honorable Mention at the SOFA Honors Show. This was one of many multimedia pieces I created while at RIT. I worked 4 years as a Student Manager at the library on campus. I work well with many types of people. I have a lot of experience working independently as well as in teams; at my job, doing group work in class, or with the subjects of my stories.
