As a 14-year veteran of the graphic arts and web design/programming field seeking to relocate to the St. Louis metro area.
I’m currently employed as a Web Designer/Developer in Springfield, IL. My role is to design and maintain a consistent look and feel for new features to my company’s website, as well as design and create the front-end interface that’s user-friendly and intuitive.
Prior to this role, I worked as a full-time Graphic Arts Instructor at Richland Community College. I’ve taught classes in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver (XHTML/HTML5/CSS), Flash, Autodesk Maya and a plethora of other programs. I also spent four years serving on a large IT group for global agribusiness Tate & Lyle as a web developer, where I created and maintained new content for the company’s intranet & Internet presence. During that time I adhered to tight time constraints, promoted marketing standards and displayed a consistently strong work ethic.
In my spare time, I work as a freelance Graphic Designer for various companies/individuals within the community, with projects varying from designing corporate identities to painting murals, and enjoy 3D modeling and animation as a hobby.
I have a BFA degree in Graphic Design and a Masters degree in Web Design/Programming. I have also completed coursework toward a BFA degree from the Academy of Art in San Francisco (online) in Animation & Visual Effects.
