About Me

To Whom it may concern,
My name is Michael Shupp and I am a Kutztown University Electronic Media Graduate and Media Production professional.
During my time at Kutztown I was involved with numerous productions including the nightly news show Newsbreak, Camera One which featured segments highlighting local destinations and I produced and directed numerous Football games including one for the NCAA. During my time with Newsbreak I held the title of Treasurer, and News Director. While in college I had the opportunity to work as Production Assistant for WPVI Philadelphia's yearly Best of Class special. During my college career I was also an active member in the National Broadcasting Society and was inducted into their national honor Society Alpha Epsilon Rho. I completed my tenure at Kutztown University with a 3.6 GPA and graduated Suma Cum Laud.
I have completed an internship with World Wrestling Entertainment in their Domestic Television Department. During my internship I worked Directly with various Producers aiding them with all every aspect of their four weekly television Programs. My responsibilities included video comping, transcribing, editing and quality control. During my time there I became the first intern to ever have an edited piece be used in a live production.
For the year and a half I have been a Production Assistant at The Artsquest Center at Steel Stacks. While in this position I have been responsible for helping with the audio and lighting crews in the set up for their live concerts and various other events including corporate fundraisers and meetings and personal events such as weddings and birthday celebrations. My main responsibilities included focusing lights and wiring the audio set ups. I would also lend a hand in running the various consoles that are involved. During this time I have also been a camera op for various concerts with Muzik at the Sands including Pat Benatar and Peter Frampton. I also worked with Service Electric Cable Vision as a Camera Operator for a Concert During Musikfest. During this past years muzikfest I acted as the Assistant Production Manager. My primary responsibility was to make sure that all of the performances happened as scheduled as well as supervise our staff and volunteers.
