Los Angeles, California
My name is Brett Cramer. I'm a professional video/film editor based in Los Angeles. My knowledge of editing and visual storytelling comes from the television and advertising industries. I edited commercials and internet promos for over six years, working for clients as diverse as 20th Century Fox, The U.S. Marines, HBO, Infiniti, Nissan, and Relativity Media. I also have extensive experience editing for different platforms – including television, the Internet, iOS, and theatrical venues. I’ve worked extensively with Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and several different compression software programs.
I currently work as a senior editor at Fulcrum Labs, where I’m responsible for editing hundreds of educational videos for accredited online college courses. I also supervise other editors, manage the post-production schedule, and train employees on best workflow practices.
Previously, I worked as a contributing editor on the feature film “Altergeist” and as a senior editor on a documentary about Vietnam War photojournalists (dir. Michael Watkins, ASC with narration by Forest Whitaker). Additionally, two short films I edited have received acclaim at numerous film festivals.
When I’m not editing, I produce and direct self-financed independent films. I recently premiered one short at the Austin Film Festival and have just completed editorial on a feature film. I’m also experienced in sound design and color correction.
If you’re searching for a highly motivated editor who can work equally well on a variety of different projects for different platforms, I’d love to speak to you about working together. I’ve attached my resume, but please feel free to view some of my work. If you’d like to see more, please let me know!
I have been in the industry since 2007.
