I have been instrumental in designing, proposing, acquiring, supervising and operating broadcast-level video and audio production and post-production facilities for several organizations, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
In my prior career assignments I was responsible for working closely with senior management to make sure that their media departments were meeting their communications needs and objectives. I was also responsible for recruiting, managing, and developing technical and creative staff in each of those organizations.
Additionally, I actively developed concepts, produced, directed, edited and completed various types of programming, including promos, marketing and training programs for various types of businesses. I have managed creative teams of production professionals including DVD authors, video editors, camera operators, and audio editors and mixers.
I routinely supervise the entire production and post-production process from studio and location shooting to offline editing, final online, audio mixing and layback, and DVD authoring and replication.
As an active producer, I am responsible for the selection and hiring of all creative and technical production and post-production staff, including producers, directors, graphic designers, set designers, editors, audio mixers and others, and have cast and hired various on-camera and voice-over talent.
I am an expert-level editor, thoroughly experienced in Avid Symphony/Media Composer and Final Cut Pro systems. I am also an experienced DVD author familiar with Adobe’s and Apple’s associated products including Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, Color, DVD Studio Pro, Encore DVD, and more.
As my references will attest, I am organized and detail oriented, have strong verbal and written skills, and work well under pressure and deadlines.
I have been involved in several organizations including ITVA, LA Avid Users Group, and the 168 Hour Film Project, which awarded my short documentary, “The Wheelchair Angel,” BEST DOCUMENTARY.
