Vanessa was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and currently works as professional photographer, graphic designer and media manager for musicians and artists, including The Point Chamber Orchestra, Time For Three, The Dali Quartet, The Pennsylvania Dance Theatre, Adriana Linares (violist), Nicolas Kendall (violinist), and Susana Amundarain (painter).
She has been very active in the marketing and development of music artists, including image campaigns, artist media packages, and the production and post-production of music videos and electronic press kits (EPKs) for record labels such as E1 Entertainment.
She had worked as a director, producer, and editor of film and television productions in the United States and abroad. Her short films “Fading Away” and “Silent Conversations” have been screened at Film Festivals in the U.S and at venues such as the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco, CA), the Glenride Performing Arts Center (Sarasota, FL), and The American Pavilion during the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
She has experience in both Spanish and English television promotion, having worked as a Senior Producer/Editor at WUVP (Univision 65) and WFPA (Telefutura 28), and as Writer/Producer for WPHL (myphl17), formerly WB17.
Her marketing and promotion experience stems from helping develop on-air contests, radio promotions, sales presentations, upfront videos, as well as on-air and traditional promotional campaigns for each of the stations where she's worked, and their respective clients, some of which include The Kimmel Center, Macy’s, Wendy’s and GIANT supermarkets. Some of the more complex projects in which she has participated include the launch campaign of My Network TV in Philadelphia (myphl17), the Philadelphia Mummers Parade, General Motors' The Latino G.R.E.A.T. Jobs! Program, and the PNC Grow Up Great Program (Spanish Campaign).
Vanessa has also been involved in multi-media collaborations such as "Clepsydra: An Operatic Installation with 13 Performers," and continues to work as an independent television writer/producer and professional photographer.
She holds a B.A. in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
