I’ve directed a diverse range of acclaimed cinematic and online productions. My Emmy® winning documentary ‘100,000’ is an in-depth investigation about the overpopulation of dogs in the streets of Puerto Rico. ‘100,000’ has been broadcasted in over 17 countries and has won several film festivals.
After ‘100,000’, I was commissioned by the advertising agency J. Walter Thomson in Puerto Rico to develop a 5-minute documentary titled “The New Poverty” to be used as part of a monumental and decisive account pitch. After JWT won the account, they decided to commission 20 more short documentaries called “Echar Pa’ Lante” (Moving Forward). These short documentaries showcase groups of people from all walks of life who are achieving personal success against outstanding odds.
Prior to ‘100,000’, I was president and co-founder of EyeTour, Puerto Rico’s Premier Online Video Guide. During my time at EyeTour, I produced over 100 historical videos designed specifically for mobile platforms. As a video producer and business manager, I secured important contracts with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and Rums of Puerto Rico, amongst many other clients. While at EyeTour, our team won the prestigious first place at Grupo Guayacan’s EnterPrize Business Plan Competition. Our website EyeTour.com was honored as the Best Website in Puerto Rico in 2009 by the SMEPR.
From 2004 to 2006, I served as the first producer for OperacionExito.com – the internationally renowned online academic competition. While at Operación Éxito, I had the privilege of working closely with filmmaker and entrepreneur, Noel Quiñones. My duties at Operación Éxito ranged from producing live events to directing short television segments that were aired at Univisión Puerto Rico. Working at Operación Éxito right out of college was like doing a masters degree in marketing and multitasking. I am proud to say that I laid some of the foundation work at OE, a company that is now present in Latin America and Europe.
Graduated from Ithaca College (’04) and have a bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Photography with a concentration in Cinema Production and a minor in business. I am an advocate for animal rights; I want every dog to have a home. I live with my wife and three dogs in Los Angeles, California. We like traveling and watching TV.
