I'm a TV Broadcasting and Production graduate that maintained and completed my program with a 4.0 grade point average. I have been employed with the federal government for the past few years as a Transportation Security Officer. During my four year employment with the government, I have continued to follow the changes in the television field. However, I am ready to pursue out of state, full time opportunities and live out my dreams of working in the entertainment industry.
My class work helped me develop a variety of production skills from writing and scripting, editing, camerawork, directing, story boarding, graphic design and other art related task, set production and coordination, interviewing, announcing and narration, and often times serving as a teacher's assistant. I also honed and learned new skills including leadership, patience, dedication, outside thinking as well as following the latest trends in what works and what doesn't in production, not only from the technical side but the creative and financial as well.
My time with the federal government has further developed my interpersonal skills, leadership, professionalism, and critical thinking. Even though there may be criticism locally and nationally afterwards because of my decisions, my ability to listen, carry out directions, think outside the box, take initiative and multitask have helped me excel at whatever challenges come in this ever changing world of national security. The job has also taught me the importance and hardships of focusing on the big picture and staying on pace to achieve that goal.
I believe this combination of leadership, creativity, passion, flexibility, knowledge, professionalism, critical thinking and willingness to learn and dedicate myself to the mission to not only further my own career aspirations but to help my employer reach new heights in the industry as well as leave a positive mark on my employer, and fellow employees makes me the ideal candidate.
