"Cinematography is what you do, not who you are." So who am I? I'm the type of person who arrives early. The type of person who follows through, who communicates. A team player. Patience is my personality, and the film industry demands a considerable amount. Above all, I love shooting an image that wows the audience.
Artistically, I focus on realism, mise-en-scene, and most importantly the needs of the plot.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College, with an emphasis on cinematography. While attending Columbia, I was invited to the 85th Academy Awards to join Team Oscar and present trophies on stage to award winners.
I finished The Film School program at Scottsdale Community College, with my focus on cinematography as well. I have helped found Mesa Community College's resident improv troupe, Scripts on Strike, and was director for one year. I was a manager for over six years with Harkins Theatres in Phoenix, AZ. I handled aspects from projection and film build-up to employee evaluations and money management.
Filmming any aspect of life is what I love; it drives me to bring your idea, your story, to life. Features, shorts, documentaries, and any form of visual communication are what I want to shoot. I always use your time wisely and never aim to waste a minute or a dime.
Thorough planning is my virtue. Perfect collaboration is my goal. A beautiful image is my passion.
I have been in the industry since 2011.
