PROFILE: I have a proven ability to produce and edit national programming using a variety of organizational and presentational skills from concept to completion. Including creating high impact, historical and educational programming with long lasting value. Successful editing, research, fund raising & producing skills in both Radio and Television formats such as HD Avid, FCP and Adobe After Effect software. I have strong communication and research skills combined with a true love of history.

News Editor: WAVY TV Portsmouth Virginia 2011 Edit News format programing for both Wavy TV and Fox 43. Work in high paced environment editing 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, FOX 1-hour 10pm newscast and WAVY 11pm news cast. Ingest video, edit and export clips for all newscasts. Work with multiple producers, videographers and editors to create quality news cast VOSOT's, VO's and packages. Retrieve material from CBS and NBC and FOX through on-line request and/or quick dub through router. Utilize Access, Interplay, INEWS, FCP and AVID systems.

Online Editor and Producer: WHRO Public Television Norfolk Virginia 1998-2009 Producing skills: Formulate program concept, identify and utilize national archival resources for supportive research and visual illustration. Seek out participatory, consultant, legal and advisory resources for the project. Utilize professional experience regarding cultural sensitivity required when working with indigenous people. Online Television Editor: Artistically edit projects in diverse styles for producers, clients and promotional needs. Train incoming editors on a variety of equipment. Edit long and short format documentaries, educational, promotional, public affairs and client productions: Some examples include, "Noble Desire: a time for healing", "The Century Series" and the long running "Net Files" national series.

Online Radio production and Editing: "Monacan Voices" and "Jamestown: The Native American Connection". The programs continue to air on WHRV 89.5 FM Norfolk, Native Voice One and AIROS/Native American Public Television. The programs have held the top three positions on AIROS for three years running and Public Radio International featured Monacan Voices as the Editors pick for Native American Heritage month. Sr.

Editor, KMSP Television Eden Prairie Minnesota 1996-1997 Senior Editor for Every Day Living which was a one hour national news magazine program. I was nvolved in the development of this program from pre-production planning to broadcast. Supervised daily editing routine; including ordering all necessary supplies and organizing editing schedule in addition to creating daily short format roll-ins. Train staff editors on the Sony 900-920 editor including 5,000 software and Sony DFS 500 DVE single channel switcher and effects box. Also operated studio camera during live program.

Editor, WCCO Television Minneapolis Minnesota 1990-1997 Editor on a variety of shows including; regular news programs, mini-documentaries and "Choice" which was an experimental extension of the nightly 10 PM newscast and the Dave Moore Sunday morning program. Trained staff editors on the vid-cube non-linear edit system.
