About Me

I am a scenic designer interested in working with your production group. My name is Elizabeth Ryan and I am a Master of Fine Arts graduate of San Diego State University in scenic design. But am interested in working in all aspects in the art department and love collaborating to get the job done.

After my recent move to Los Angeles from San Diego I have been involved in several independent productions as art director and scenic designer. Among these have been The Scribbler, a fantasy horror movie, Buried Treasure, an adventure movie using several Los Angeles locales and Rosita Lopez for President which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival. I was also a production assistant on the Lifetime feature Of Two Minds which dealt with the many facets of mental illness and most recently an intern on Silverscreens The Return of the Saint.

In these independent productions I was responsible for organizing Research – Prop Breakdowns – Set Decorating Breakdown. I am also able to organize prop rental along with pick up and drop off. I am also well able to build models in the computer program Sketchup. I am trained in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Vectorworks, and Hand Drafting. I also worked for years in the Paint Shops in various Theater and Film shops so I am able to do this type of manual work to a degree. In the past I’ve often overseen painting and guided the palette of scenes and crew work schedules. I would like to work with a larger organization such as yours and feel I would be an asset to your company.
