About Me

I am a Dutch composer currently residing in Los Angeles (NoHo) I find inspiration in Movies, various arts and all kinds of music, ranging from traditional classical to pop/rock. Whenever I get an idea I basically 'take the ball and run'. Over the last decade I more and more developed an own style.

Works range from vocal music to instrumental music. Works are ranging from solo to full orchestra. Some of them are inspired by movies and photographs. This resulted in scores entitled: [Never ending story], [Farewell] and [Lux Aeterna].

In search of more sound possibilities I started writing for synthesizers and computers. I have worked with synths and sequencers since the mid-eighties. Some of my recent synthesizer compositions are classical in nature, some are in contemporary pop style.

Endless sound variations are possible by tweaking and morphing sounds and samples. My most recent electronically enhanced compositions are collages of classical instruments, speech, sounds and audio samples. For example: [Intro ‘Hope has a voice’] – in this composition I have made a mix of synthesizer sounds with historical speeches by Chamberlin, Bush, Goebbels and Hitler, orchestra and percussion.

Please visit my website for more info and examples.

I have been in the industry since 2005.
