My name is Fiona Kiernan-Molloy I’m a scenic artist, designer and maker who has constructed and painted large scale props and painted interior and exterior set structures working from designer’s paint elevations and renderings. I’ve worked with many different materials and used various techniques for example faux finishing, aging/breakdown, sponging, stencilling, colour matching and worked with a wide range of textures. I am competent in using many workshop tools including drop saw, circular saw, radial saw, bandsaw, table saw, metal cutting saw, drill press, grinders, sanders and worked with many different adhesives and hand tools. I have worked on many shows doing the set up and strike and also as a stage mechanist.
I have a bachelor degree in Theatre Production, graduating with first class honors. In the last 5 years I’ve worked in both Australia and Canada as a scenic artist and designer.
I take great pride in my work and set high standards for myself. With a genuine passion for designing and making, I am committed to continually learning and expanding my knowledge. I believe I possess the skills, enthusiasm, energy and creative talent to continue to pursue this career.
