About Us

Whether you are shooting film or a file based digital camera, Westwind Media has designed a workflow to satisfy your needs.

Westwind Media provides the ideal working environment for a wide range of clients and digital workflows i.e. (Indie Features, Broadcast TV, Cable TV, Reality TV as well as New Media) . We understand that in the post production process creativity often requires diverse and highly specialized teams focused on achieving a single goal. Since now-a-days content needs to be produced at such a rapid speed Westwind has upgraded the facility to create a fully file based work flow, simply to give clients the opportunity to work quickly and more efficiently.

Westwind is also expanding its physical presence to offer comfortable, convenient and technically optimized work spaces for these different teams and workflows. Our campus is a customized environment designed to support a centralized and creative community with the borders of our two-block Burbank footprint.

Founded in 1995 by composer Mike Post and musician John Bidasio, Westwind Media was known as a comfortable, high-quality recording studio. At the time, Mike was composing for producers Stephen J. Cannell, and Steven Bochco, so they decided to turn Westwind into an artist-driven, finishing facility for their projects.

Westwind quickly expanded to include picture, and HD electronic video post-production services in 2000. From dailies, through online, to final color with fully edited and mixed sound. Westwind became a one-stop shop for many of Americas most popular programs, including NYPD Blue, The Practice and Nash Bridges.

Westwind continues to distinguish itself in the world of high-quality broadcast television where it currently provided services on Grey's Anatomy and New shows like ABC's Scandal but also prides itself for being a place all content makers can come and be treated well.

We are currently filling occupancy for 2013.
