I have over 15 years of broadcast media experience in successfully coordinating the communication between various departments concerned with the sales, marketing and production of news, sports and informative programming within the broadcast media environment. I am efficient, meticulous and innovative in how I approach tasks and possess proven people management skills, with the ability to manage performance and motivate on an individual as well as a team level. I am very comfortable working in a fast paced, high profile position and under extreme pressure. My daily responsibilities include managing the day to day technical operations of WMBF in addition to staff hiring and evaluation, scheduling and crew training. Every day I work as a liaison between the broadcast operations team, directors, producers and on-air talent to enhance and showcase the presentation of our newscasts and all of our other programming. I am significantly involved in program development, special project coordination and strategic planning in addition to directing daily newscasts and contributing written content and editorial guidance on WMBFNews.com. I also assist with posting to our social media platforms and am acutely aware of what an excellent tool these still evolving technologies are at getting the word out and at raising consciousness. I have been very fortunate to have worked with a diverse group of anchors, reporters, public relations representatives, account executives and event organizers to help to bring awareness to various events and productions.
I am very comfortable on either side of the camera or microphone. Five years ago when I chose to leave WPBF in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida I had no idea what a once in a lifetime opportunity I had decided to accept. I moved here to Myrtle Beach to help build and launch the first all digital, all high-definition television start-up in the United States. I had an extremely short amount of time to hire, train and perfect the skills of my staff on state of the art equipment in time for the launch of WMBF on opening day of the Beijing Olympics in August of 2008. When I accepted the position, I knew that we were building the newsroom of the future, but I didn’t know just how rewarding that journey was going to be and I am now looking for that next challenge.
I have been in the industry since 1998.
