I am highly motivated individual, interested in all aspects of the digital media field. My particular interest resides with video production and the sports broadcasting industry.
I was employed for two years at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast, assigned to the Public Affairs department as a videographer and editorial assistant. I created over 50 videos, ranging in content from informative, employee spotlights, and short documentaries about specific locations assigned to the southeast area of responsibility. Using After Effects, I designed all the motion graphics used in the videos and for other commands to used that are assigned to NAVFAC. I was the command's photographer, covered training evolutions, award presentations, retirements and command ceremonies. I was also involved with the command's print publications; designing safety posters, command newsletter and annual calendar using Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop.
I secured an internship and follow on position with the Jacksonville Suns/Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp minor league baseball team with Select Media. I started my fifth season with the team and have extensive experience in the following positions: Camera operator (both stationary and wireless), CG (COMPIX) graphics operator for both in-house and broadcast, Abekas replay operator and Assistant Director. I designed all the in-game graphics (digital score board, batter lower-thirds, pitcher statistical information, starting lineup, defensive position and replay transitions) for display throughout the ballpark and MiLB.com broadcasts. I have directed three television game broadcasts on local Jacksonville channel, CW-17.
I have worked as game day staff for PRI Productions for the Jacksonville Jaguars for three seasons. My first season, I operated the Ross Xpressions graphics suite. For the last two seasons, I have operated "Stats in the Box" machine which displays updated statistical player and team information for display on the video boards.
Graduated with honors (Summa Cum Laude) with Bachelors of Applied Science Digital Media Technologies from Florida State College of Jacksonville in December 2014.
I retired from the Navy after completing 20 years of service as an Aviation Warfare Systems Operator aboard the P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft. One of my duties included being qualified as the aircrews in-flight photographer for intelligence gathering missions.
I have been in the industry since 2012.
