DaVincian Healthcare, Inc., was named Overall Champion of the PYMNTS.com & Amazon Alexa Challenge, competing with USAA, Visa and nine other distinguished companies in a 5 week sprint to bring innovative voice-command solutions to the payments and commerce world.
Voters were able to choose from these categories when voting: Most Creative, Most Disruptive, Best Use Of The Technology, Easiest To Explain To Mom, Most Likely To Get Traction and the penultimate award, the 2016 PYMNTS.com/Alexa Amazon Challenge Champion which was secured by DaVincian Healthcare. “This was about solving a real problem or re-imagining a future for a consumer and the ecosystem that surrounds consumers as they look at new ways to conduct commerce, buy things, solve problems and even manage the health care environment,” Karen Webster, CEO at PYMNTS.com, said at the unveiling of the solutions.
DaVincian’s team confronted challenge of prescription abandonment and non-adherence which results in 125,000 deaths in the United States annually and over $300 billion in lost revenue globally. The Overall Champion solution was DaVincianRx, an interactive prescription, communication and coordination companion, reimagined to bring Alexa’s transformative skills to the world of healthcare.
