Jennifer Champagne is a Multi-Award Winning Filmmaker with over nineteen years of experience in digital effects and film production.
Jennifer owns Milake Pictures, a film production company and was co-owner of Max Ink Productions and the Emmy Award Winning animation and VFX house Max Ink Cafe. Jennifer oversaw all business and production.
Milake is currently in production on Celebrate Michigan, a three-day State-wide event and a handful of feature films - Jake Stevens: The Last Protector, Waterspout, Finding Henry. The Woods and Parallel Parking.
Jennifer’s film experience ranges from Visual Effects (Jeepers Creepers, NCIS, X-Files) to Live Action (Border, The Last Supper, Lonesome Matador). Her Multi-Award Winning feature documentary, Border, explores border security and immigration within the United States. She Produced the film and Directed the second unit interviews. An important political film that the New York Times called, “A visual expose...”
An accomplished visual effects trade press writer, Jennifer regularly contributes articles to Millimeter Magazine, Animation Magazine and AWN. Her recent feature articles on Elmore Leonard and Detroit 187 made the cover story for Ambassador Magazine’s November Issue.
Jennifer is also an Adjunct Professor at Madonna University, where she teaches the fourth year film class. In her first year of teaching - she guided her 2011 students to three Student Emmy Nominations, one 2012 Student Emmy Award and a 2012 Detroit Music Award Nomination, a first in the five year history of the Capstone Film Class. The 2012 class won a 2013 Detroit Music Award and three 2013 Student Emmy Awards out of nine nominations.
Through Capstone Jennifer has found a passion for education young filmmakers and teaching them the skills necessary to succeed in the film and television industry.
