About Me

My name is Ethan Cheeseman and I am a recent Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) graduate with an A.S. in Editing and Post Production. Currently, I am actively seeking employment opportunities relating to my major. Your current job posting appears to be an ideal fit for my qualifications. I am proficient (and most comfortable) editing with Final Cut Studio applications (Final Cut Pro 7, Color, and Compressor). In addition, I have a great deal of Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Encore experience. I am fully equipped with my own dual-monitor Mac Pro setup and editing applications that I use on a frequent basis. I would consider myself knowledgeable of video compression and the highest quality codecs used for distribution, especially for the flowing platforms: Online (YouTube / Vimeo), DVD (HD / Standard), and Blu-ray (3D / HD).

Also, I have a fair amount of on set experience. Common roles that I have taken on include: setting up lights, recording with dual-system audio, gaffing, AC, script supervising, slating, boom, and data wrangling. I have made almost every shoot day for over 10 student productions, logging over 200 hours on set. I really enjoy being on set because a lot needs to get done and it’s always a blast to help make the filming successful.

In addition to the above, I’ve interned at a local cable access show, Access To Democracy, where I worked as a part of a team to film and produce the shows.
