Amanda Abizaid is an American Lebanese Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known as the captivating vocalist on the theme song “A Place In Time” from Paramount’s The 4400. The song gained world exposure with the NY Post calling her one of the best vocalists for TV in 2005. She also sang featured songs “Dreams in Ashes” from Lifetime Television’s Odd Girl Out, and lead vocals for Smallville, Ed, One Tree Hill, Felicity, and Charmed. Her pop rock debut album The Great Plan Vol II was released in 2006 followed by This Life in 2009. This Life captured fresh combinations of pop, jazz and Middle Eastern music and debuted on FMQB.com’s ACQB Adult Contemporary Chart at #2 Most Added in July, 2010 and following month was rated #4 Most Added record on ACQB enjoying great national radio success. Abizaid’s third release Be In Love in 2011 featured Santana’s Bill Ortiz taking her further into the world music arena with elements of Neo-Soul, jazz, Indian and Arabic electronic influenced tracks. Be In Love is the first infusion of Amanda’s bi-lingual music beginning to shine through.
Today, Amanda is working on two projects. Someday Girl- singer songwriter acoustic tracks to industrial pop electronic chill ambient dub tracks with Los Angeles musician Lindsay Gillis and
Abizaid- a world electronic experience where she features her bi-lingual vocals of Arabic and English.
