Janet Davidson is a professional business and creative with over 15 years experience in both cable and network television. Her career started with Paramount Television at WLFL – Fox 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Paramount Television grew into Paramount Stations Group under the VIACOM umbrella and relocated her to WUPA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Both these opportunities afforded Janet the station side experience as the right and executive assistant to Senior Executive/General Managers. These valuable experiences included being part of executive teams at each local station assisting with the daily operations including local sales, promotions and syndication. She returned home to Chicago to join MTV Networks, a VIACOM division in their local sales and marketing office.
In 2001, Janet joined the most successful daytime talk show in television history,
The Oprah Winfrey Show. As the right-hand of the now retired President Tim Bennett, she spent 5 years in Oprah’s executive office assisting at all levels. This position was unique in her business experience that spanned the national and international stage. Beyond assisting in the daily operations of a production facility, Janet was involved in many special projects including the original research that led to the creation of The Oprah Winfrey Foundation and the development of new product lines.
Preparing for the end of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Janet decided to start her own business venture Trinity Productions, LTD. in 2006. This included creating and developing original ideas for television and film production. Her background also includes being a professional photographer, set designer and fine artist.
Janet has business and creative acumen, a great sense of humor, emotional intelligence, and a mid-western work ethic. She is now seeking a new business opportunity that will benefit from her multi-level professional business/creative skill-set.
