Gerard Cordero AKA "Vito"
Height: 5'-8.5" Weight: 215 lbs
Gerard Cordero was born in San Jose, California in the town of Santa Clara, but grew up in Queens, New York.
The question isn’t: "When did you realize you wanted to be an Actor?" But, “Why do you Act?“
I get to see how I can challenge myself physically and emotionally. Acting gives me an opportunity to make another person take their mind off their problems while they watch me perform. It's in those moments that I feel free. That's why I act.
Gerard enrolled in an Acting program while in college. He has also trained with some acting coaches in NYC, while also attending various acting and casting workshops.
In 2012, Gerard was awarded “Best Action Actor” at the Urban Action Showcase held at HBO headquarters in NYC. He was commended for his performance by a panel of celebrity judges, which included martial artists/actors Michael Jai White and Kelly Hu.
Gerard has had the opportunity to work with Tom Sizemore and Vincent Pastore in the tv mini-series, “Witness to the Mob;" Benjamin Bratt and Jerry Orbach in “Law & Order;" and Jim Caveizel, Taraji P. Henson in “Person of Interest." He has also worked with a list of other well known talent.
Recently, Gerard landed the role of Strike Force Lieutenant on the Season 2 finale episode of the hit TV series “Gotham." Gerard is also attached to multiple projects in pre-production and development, ranging from TV Series Pilots with named talent attached such as Ice T and Method Man, to feature films with actors Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen and Joe Pantoliano.
Whenever Gerard is not acting, he likes to spend his free time with his family and friends. He also maintains an active life style, dividing his time between weight training and the gym, training in various martial arts, playing active sports with his friends, and spending one on one time with his little man Niko (his Yorkie-Poo!).
