Hi, I'm Chase.
For the past few years I’ve freelanced in production, primarily PAing commercials and as craft services assistant for commercials and shows like Shameless, The Exorcist, Amazon's Patriot, and Chicago PD. Before that I’d spent the better part of twelve years working in the foodservice industry: I’ve waited tables in White Plains; arranged 6-foot charcuterie for weddings in Wisconsin; grilled for Brooklyn socialites; mixed drinks in Dublin, Ireland; and passed hors d’oeuvres at multi-million dollar Manhattan bat mitzvahs. I really enjoy the work: how good food raises morale, developing friendly professional relationships with a wide range of people, how there’s always work to be done, and, short of being a professional chef, I’ve done it all.
So what? I differentiate myself from other craft-service providers by using my prep days to prepare a wide variety of delicious, nutritious, homemade food from scratch ahead of time to present fresh, homemade hot and cold snacks throughout the shoot that can accommodate most dietary restrictions and preferences (including lots of delicious vegan food). I love to cook, and I keep my food prep and storage areas so clean you could do a documentary about it - I’ve even got an IL Food Handler’s License. I view it as my job to keep our crew’s engine running by providing high quality fuel: a crew will shoot tired and wet in the cold, but they won’t shoot hungry.
I’d love the opportunity to discuss how I can provide excellent craft service on your next production. I look forward to hearing from you.
I have been in the industry since 2012.
