Ramon Reyes is a composer for film and TV - as well as a prolific multi-genre popular music producer.

"I’ve always my feet in more than one world of music, my eclectic musical background naturally drawing me to film scores, and my passion for emotional music serving as constant inspiration for my film, as well as my popular music. Being given the opportunity to work in both of these worlds, as well as bringing them together is my true calling. To create a new dimension of expression is something that can't be defined or contained. Music is my everything, and being able to express movement, drama and personal emotion through music is a gift I can't help but share."

Highlights:
Ramon’s film music has been screened at festivals around the world. His film Body Language was the official selection of the International Fashion Film Festival. Recently his film Ascendance, Angels of Change" was screened at OUTfest here in Los Angeles. His work “Hadi Dans Edelim” was commissioned by Chicago’s New Millennium Orchestra. Additionally, his jazz (big band) scores have been performed by notable artists such as Grammy award winning composer/trumpeter Terence Blanchard. In addition to being an accomplished composer, Ramon is a regular contributor to other composers scores both as a musician, and more often times ghostwriter. Ramon is a pianist, saxophonist, and ukulele player. He has toured performing piano and saxophone, including seven cities in China.

Since 2012 Ramon has been producing “Second Class Citizens,” a documentary on discrimination here in the United States with dir. Ryan James Yezak on. Some of his other highlights are the experimental film ‘Pill Girl’ dir. by Kacper Skowron, and Gisberg Bermudez’s festival award winning feature “Portion,” (an immigration drama starring Bruno Bichir) for 3-Star Entertainment, produced by Michelle Poole (King Kong).

After moving to Los Angeles Ramon had an internship with Oscar, Emmy & Peabody award winning composer Jeff Rona (God of War III, Chicago Hope, White Squall) where he worked in the music department of Rob Schneider’s “The Chosen One.”

Some of Ramon’s past clients also include music marketing products for the musical “Allegiance” (Starring Lea Solonga, George Takei, & Telly Leung), Toyota, the AIDS Health foundation, & Hasbro.

Education:
Ramon holds a bachelors' degree from Indiana University as well as a Masters in the Fine Arts - in producing music for visual media. He completed his MFA at the world renowned arts conservatory Columbia College Chicago where he studied with Grammy award-winning music executive Andy Hill (The Lion King), & two-time Emmy award-winning film composer Hummie Mann (Dracula: Dead and Loving it, Robin Hood: Men in Tights).
