Windshear Media LLC is the premiere Unmanned Aircraft System(UAS, UAV, or Drone) service provider for the North East and Mid-Atlantic United States.

Once the Section 333 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (FMRA) was implemented, we were one of the first companies in the United States to receive a Section 333 exemption. Simply put...this means were one of the companies in the United States to meet the rigorous requirements to be able to perform commercial drone services.

Windshear began in 2010 and originally was an aerial photography company using helicopters and fixed wing aircraft for capturing still and motion picture imagery. As the demand grew higher, we found ourselves at the forefront of both government and corporate production and post-production services and have continued providing those services to this day.

Now, with over 30 years of aviation experience in both manned and unmanned aircraft(drones), we have actively participated with numerous private companies and government agencies on the best use and integration of UAS / UAVs in the private sector as well as the National Airspace.

All of our Pilots are licensed UAS Remote Pilots through the FAA with extensive experience as well licensed manned aircraft(airplane and helicopter) pilots and hold a minimum of a FAA Class 3 medical certificate. Our insurance coverage also meets or exceeds most broadcast network requirements.
