About Me
My name is Joshua Fisher, and I have just recently graduated Syracuse University with a Bachelor's Degree from the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications. My major was Television/Radio/Film, with a minor in Psychiatry. Film has always been my true passion though, and my long term goal in life is to ultimately start my own production company, where I would have the option to write and create my own content under my own label. Recently, I wrote, directed, budgeted, produced and ultimately edited my senior capstone film called "Let Her Dance," which is now being submitted to festivals across the world. The film was done on around a $1500 budget, and the funding came from a Kickstarter campaign I created. The film has received praise through the screenings I've set up, and the short film has already been submitted to one festival within the first week of submitting! (The festival is in California, and is called Action on Film)
Last spring I went out to Los Angeles for the semester and worked at two production companies, where I acted as a production office assistant. These opportunities gave me an insight as to how production offices work, and I would relish an opportunity to continue learning.
I believe that my creative skills, which are prominent throughout the short films I’ve made over the recent years, paired with my work ethic would add value to your company. I have demonstrated through my past work and leadership experiences that I consistently work to achieve the goals I am assigned by others and myself. I believe that with the knowledge I have acquired and my strong desire to learn I will be capable of not only meeting your expectations, but also exceeding them.
I have been in the industry since 2010.
