Born on 1984, in Athens, Greece, Nikitas Vasilakis started realizing the chaos around him at the age of 10 when he decided that numbers could be his best shot of putting anarchy across in order. In 2007 he honorably graduated from the mathematical department of National Kapodistrian University of Athens and at the same time his urge to express his perception of the world led him to the Film School of Prague where he got awarded with Best Film Award (2007) for his short movie “Untitled” and Best Editing Award (2008) for his short movie “Sacrifice me”, in Crush Film Festival. He continued his studies in LACC and honorably graduated last year. During his studies there his short films were elected for the LACC Film Festival. In between his studies he worked in the directing department of feature films and commercials in Greece and currently works as a freelance film editor in Los Angeles.
I have been in the industry since 2013.
