About Me

My name is Phil Jackson and I am a post-production audio editor and sound effects recordist in Los Angeles, California. I have a B.A. from Asbury University, where I majored in Media Communication with an audio production emphasis. In school I worked on over 50 films, a 10 episode mini-series and two features. I also was an audio assistant in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games. My work has won three Student Production Awards at the Ohio River Valley Emmys, two Platinum Pixie Awards, and three Highbridge Film Festival awards for Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing.

I have a portable ProTools rig with ProTools 10, M-Audio Bx5 Studio Monitors, Audio Techinica Ath-M50 Headphones, Soundminer HD, and an extensive sound effects library. I am proficient in SSL boards, outboard processors, signal flow, ProTools, Logic Pro, Izotope Rx, Sound Devices recorders and field mixers, Adobe Creative Suite, and Mac Computers.
