Paul Dougherty is a Peabody, ACE, White House News Photographer and Emmy award winning Director of Photography with more than 25 years of experience. Known for his creative attention to detail and expertise in lighting, he is an established and recognized leader in his field.

Paul started The Camera 1 Group in 1990 to provide a select group of crews to Broadcast and Production Houses nationwide.

The Camera 1 Group is recognized in the industry as a reliable source for highly experienced field production crews whose credits include all of the major news magazine programs, award winning documentaries, broadcast commercials, advertising ad campaigns and major broadcast cable networks.

Prior to starting Camera 1, Paul was a staff photographer for USA Today on TV, and cameraman and editor for PM Magazine . Paul is well known as an engaging and artistic DP who brings his expert eye to every project, with a special emphasize in lighting.

He is also the crazy guy hanging off the roof of a speeding car if it will make for a better shot. He truly believes in the TV mantra ....you're only as good as your last shot. Every shoot matters.
