About Me
Ray Wongchinda is a Director of Photography in the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600), and is based in Los Angeles. In addition to shooting throughout the United States, he has been the DoP on narrative feature films that have shot in France, Bolivia, Jamaica, Ghana, and Greece. His narrative work in independent cinema has earned an Africa Movie Academy Award, and had theatrical distribution in multiple countries, including the United States, UK, and France.
With a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science, Ray's engineering background assists with the technicality of photography, camera movement, virtual production, and post production. Fusing his technical experience, a love of storytelling, and his passion for art and design led him to cinematography.
I have been in the industry since 2012.
