I’ve worked the last 25 years in North Carolina and New York City. Thoth (Academy Award Winner), Unknown Passage: The Dead Moon Story (Director/DP), Marc Jacobs, Barbara Koppel’s The Hamptons, Crown Royal, Cotton, Vice Records... I spent many years working on feature films, high-end documentaries, crazy guerrilla-style shoots, & all kinds of commercials. I moved to New York City in 1997 from Chapel Hill, North Carolina to follow my love of documentary to the target-rich environment of the heavy-hitters in the field in NYC. I developed a talent over many years of practice with some very wonderful people both in North Carolina and New York, learning the art of lighting for motion pictures, as well as many other nuanced camera and hard to define tricks of the trade. I was excited to be mentored by some amazing persons in this combination of art, technical skill/experience & business.


I work locally in many parts of central North Carolina, including Chapel Hill, Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh, High Point & Winston Salem. I also lived and worked for many years in New York City, and worked for 32 seasons (16 years) on New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I can source gear and talented crew in NYC that I have worked with for decades.

I work around the country, and around the globe. I own camera and grip/electric gear, including transportation options for getting the important equipment to any set. I have a current passport, speak Spanish fairly well, and have worked on many high-profile political projects which required me to have clearance approval of the Secret Service.

My mailing and resident address is Graham, NC. However, I am really located much closer to Saxapahaw, NC, and I am about 10 miles west of Chapel Hill, NC.
