About Me

I am a lifelong native of Raleigh, NC- I have worked from the Appalachian mountains to the Atlantic coast. My experience includes 30 years of photography; 22 plus years working as a location scout and manager. You will not find a scout with more knowledge of the people and places of "The Old North State". From farms to factories, mansions to molehills, I always "git er' done". Not only am i proficient at transferring a creative team's vision into reality but I also have the ability to interact with the native folks efficiently and productively. I don't work too many features: my thing is commercials. I've worked with some of the most renowned directors and photographers in the business. I don't mind travelling. In fact, I thrive on it. I also work as a full time musician- Blues, Rockabilly, Swing, Reggae, Bluegrass, Country... you name it I've played it and I'm booked every weekend a year out. As a result, I have extensive knowledge of clubs/restaurants/concert venues, etc. and have traveled to every corner of the state playing music. Furthermore, I engage in numerous outdoor activities, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, fishing and just generally exploring- My curious and adventurous nature always has me wondering what is around the next bend... I have been in the business since 1994 so I have Numerous crew and production contacts- feel free to hit me up. The tools I use include my trusty Nikon D5100 with 18-270 3.5, several vehicles including a large ATV (with trailer), four wheel drive automobiles and a large trailer that comes in handy on shoots. Of course, i have a stockpile of cones, barriers and signs as is standard for the management side.
