Jamie Trent is an ACS award-winning international cinematographer. Originally born in Australia, he spent several years working in Los Angeles before moving to New York City in 2018. Jamie is also an internationally award-winning producer and an established member of the PGA (Producers Guild of America) .
Most recently, Jamie picked up a 2018 ACS Gold Award for his dynamic cinematography on the short film "Fallen Angel" which was written by Danny McBride who wrote on the "Underworld" (Film Series), a half a billion dollar franchise. Jamie is known nationally and internationally for his highly regarded theatrical released film "The Algerian". Filmed on 2 continents, 3 countries and in 8 cities. "The Algerian" has won 19 awards at International Film Festivals including Best Cinematography at the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles and Best Cinematography at the Madrid International Film Festival.
Jamie continues to create content with experience ranging from theatrical released feature films, fashion films, documentaries, music videos and commercial work. He loves to work with developing characters by using camera movement and lighting to create greater influence and impact on the story. Jamie is affectionately known as JT by his peers and is quickly gaining the reputation as the cinematographer to look out for.
To his credit, Jamie is a member of the ACS (Australian Cinematographers Society) and the ICG, (International Cinematographers Guild) as an IATSE Local 600 Director of Photography. He is also accredited by the SOC (Society of Camera Operators) and is a NYC and Los Angeles resident.
