I am a Chicago based freelance cinematographer and member of the International Cinematographers Guild. My work has appeared on Showtime, National Geographic, History Channel, Weather Channel, Animal Planet, VH1, NBC, Fox, Fox Sports, PBS, BET, Discovery, and more. I have worked professionally as a freelance cinematographer and camera operator in film and tv for more than fifteen years.
Films that I’ve shot have appeared in well over a hundred film festivals and many of the feature films I shot have been distributed internationally. My work has won regional Emmy Awards and has been nominated for the Prime Time Emmy Awards. Additionally, I do commercial and corporate work for a number of fortune 500 companies and have lensed more than fifty music videos with millions of views between them.
As a kid, I was an avid photographer and cinephile who also happened to love math and physics. Cinematography was a way to connect all of these passions into a career that I love. I studied cinematography at Columbia College in Chicago and did my graduate work at DePaul University's Digital Cinema Program. I am also a film educator and have taught Production, Cinematography, Editing, Visual Design and VFX courses at Columbia College as well as DePaul University.
I am always looking for new projects and would love to hear from you about your upcoming work.
I have been in the industry since 2000.
We've hired Marc for many projects through the years at Loyola University Medical Center. He is always professional, friendly and extremely knowledgable. He continually goes above and beyond in every project. Without a doubt, our first call.
I've had the pleasure to work with Marc for several years. His creative expertise, technical knowledge and professional work ethic make for the perfect trifecta in a DP.
