Crisger Santley is a makeup artist, licensed esthetician, and owner of Star Makeup Studio. For the last ten years, she has provided makeup artistry, skin care, and hair styling services to TV, film, print, and fashion clients in the greater Washington, DC area.
Crisger discovered her passion for makeup and beauty in her hometown of Caracas, Venezuela where she was inspired to pursue a career in beauty by the creativity and talent of the staff at her family's beauty salon business, Stravaganza Style. She took her first makeup training and started working at the family salon on weekends to improve her skills while also studying for her bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
After graduating from college, Crisger moved to the US and began her formal makeup training, completing a Media Makeup Artistry course at Award Studios in Burbank, California, and later receiving a certificate in Esthetics from The Esthetic Institute in Vienna, Virginia where she was also the makeup instructor for a number of years.
Working as a makeup artist for over ten years has helped Crisger develop her own unique makeup style that emphasizes clean, healthy, and fresh skin looks with eye-catching glamour touches. To keep herself on the cutting edge of beauty, she regularly participates in master classes and workshops with makeup industry leaders from New York to Los Angeles including James Vincent, Louie Zakarian, Joe Dulude II, Orlando Santiago, Bethany Townes, Roque Cozzette, Danessa Myricks, Eugenia Weston, Carl Ray, and Michael DeVellis.
In addition to her professional and artistic skills, Crisger's clients appreciate her friendly approachable attitude and positive personality that provides an exceptional experience to every client who sits in her makeup chair.
Crisger is available for work in the Washington, DC area, New York, and nationwide and lives in DC. When she is not making women feel their most gorgeous, Crisger likes spending time with her husband and daughter.
I have been in the industry since 2004.
