សួស្តី - 'Sus-day' or 'Hello' in Cambodia's language.
I am Sopheak, a local film / video production fixer -a.k.a. line producer- who also happens to speak English and have a bit of the experience and the skills you are looking for :)
My job, in a nutshell, is to give your project piece of mind while shooting in Cambodia by helping you:
- Find all the resources you need, e.g.: locations, talent, crew, gear, logistics, etc.
- Process any necessary permits, customs clearance license, and visas for your crew and cast
- Get the best deals for anything or anyone you need to hire, buy or rent, so that you stay on budget!
- Coordinate with locals in order to allow your project to run as smoothly and headache-free as possible.
- Manage any crisis that may arise, but hopefully not, during production.
- Communicate with Khmer-speaking people effectively through my English-Khmer interpretations.
- Supervise the production until a successful completion.
Rest assured that my powerful network within the government and film industry, my film-videomaking experience, as well as my solid knowledge of my home, Cambodia, make me and my team the right choice for your upcoming shoot.
Contact me... Let's get your production rolling!

---[[ ABOUT ME ]]---
I was born and raised in Cambodia, the so-called Kingdom of Wonder. Based in Phnom Penh, I have been working in the Film / TV industry since 2015, when I embarked on the American feature film “In the Life of Music” (2017) as 2nd assistant director and interpreter.
Ever since then I have been working as a fixer (a.k.a. field producer, local producer, local production coordinator or “remote line producer”), 1st AD (assistant director) and English-Khmer interpreter for international and local cinema, television and digital productions shot in Cambodia, including TV commercials (TVCs), documentaries, narrative short and feature films, as well as TV Shows.
Getting around in Cambodia is a piece of cake to me, because I speak its language, Khmer, natively and also know the country like the back of my hand: its landscapes, flora, fauna, people, food and culture.
Additionally, I can also communicate in English and French fluently, tu me crois maintenant? ;) So, believe me, you won’t be struggling to get those creative ideas out while we are together in the Kingdom of Wonder.
Besides my practical experience, my filmmaking background is built upon a solid education at Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) and Meta House, led by world-renowned storytellers, such as: Patrice Leconte, Enrique Sánchez Lansch and Arthur Cloquet.

The best fixer in Cambodia! Not only does she know her country very well, but she also has an important background in filmmaking which always comes in handy. She will get you everything you want or need: from shooting permits for any location, including the impressive Angkor Wat and the Royal Palace, to professional film/video and audio equipment, lighting gear, stages, etc. And the best part is... she speaks several languages and helps you communicate with others. She's definitely a must-have when shooting in Cambodia.
