About Me

Phil Bradshaw is a director of photography who creates compelling imagery using light, composition and movement to determine a mood and tone for visual projects. A gentle giant, standing at 6’4” tall, he is surprisingly flexible while holding a camera for hours on end and cramming himself into small spaces.

Gathering experiences from working on set for the past 15 years, Phil’s strong lighting capabilities were shaped during his time working as a gaffer on numerous commercials and feature narrative projects. His collaborative spirit embraces creativity and innovation from all walks of life; using these elements to mold a cinematic style that is organic and flattering to the eye.

His loyalty to honest storytelling has led him to film several documentary and commercial campaigns for universities, hospitals and music related institutions including: PBS American Masters, HGTV, USA Network, Twitter, 6ABC, University of Pennsylvania, The Science History Institute, and many others. The documentary experiences during his career have helped to mold a style for filming people that is emotional as well as stylish.

He is most proud of being a founding partner of FreshFly, a Philadelphia-based production company. Since 2008, FreshFly has been a catalyst for pushing his cinematic boundaries and encouraging the most innovative process in each project.

Phil lives in Philadelphia, PA with his wonderful wife and three children.

I have been in the industry since 2002.
