About Me

Member Since 2018 | Views: 639

As a Little Person, my love of storytelling and directing, producing, hosting, and editing documentary work comes from my experience in producing disability advocacy videos and teaching people with disabilities how to create their own advocacy videos. I find that the importance of documentary work is ensuring that we allow the subject to tell their story and capture their story in the most authentic way possible, and ensuring that the content produced is accessible for all audiences. I will be receiving my Masters in Interactive Media from Elon University in May 2019.

I'm currently a student. I will graduate in May, 2019.

The Producer - [Short Version]
Added on 12/14/2018
Linda Lashendock was a long-time member of the CNN team in Washington D.C. as a producer, and has received 9 Emmys for her work. Her life has revolved around telling and producing stories people need to hear, but ensuring that the authentic voices of the people are heard. After her time with CNN, she moved to North Carolina where her mother and bonus father resided in at the time and took care of them both until they both passed. She believes it was a sign for her to stay in North Carolina when her mother passed because it was the one place her immediate family had finally settled down. A big history buff, today she works on Elon University preserving videos in the archives, and expresses the importance of how creating concrete metadata helps any video editor when trying to edit and tell a story. She has also has worked in the Elon School of Communication, where she produced for the Elon News Network. She is loved by all faculty and staff, students, as she has made her way up to high recognition for her work at Elon.
