Billie Mitchell is a S.O.C. (Society of Camera Operators) Active Member & I.A.T.S.E Local 600 Camera Operator.

Delivering YOUR vision is the upmost importance and Billie consistently provides high quality production services, along with knowing and understanding how to work and communicate with clients and subjects. Billie offers virtual on set monitors to allow for client's presence, to allow them to be an active member of the location shoot, directly working with and interacting with their subject.

In 2021-22, Billie Mitchell has been a camera Operator on feature film “Old Dads”, ABC "Big Sky", AMC "Dark Winds", Netflix "End of the Road", Silver Bullet/PBS Productions "However Wide The Sky: Places of Power", HBO "Army of the Dead", HBO "Unpregnant", & several other independent productions.

Both large and small scale productions, reach out to Mitchell for the quality of work delivered. For small independent productions where Mitchell runs the set, the decades of experience of professional camera work and provides disciplined set management. Billie is very efficient, with a safety first attitude, and a passion for delivering technically high quality production results. Mitchell can do up to a nine camera 4K RAW shoots, complement the cameras with quality lighting and grip, and works with experienced sound recordists. Virtual Reality, time-lapse, and Drone shoots are additional services offerings. Mitchell is constantly adapting the tools of storytelling. You have the idea, and Billie can deliver it, from production to post.

Mitchell's clients are always happy with the dedication, and passion they show each of them. You want the best, Mitchell provides truly the best professional relationship. It always comes back to set management, knowing and understanding what the goals are, and delivering them and Mitchell consistently delivers this. Mitchell's clients especially like how good we make talent look, and how well we interact within the space being shot.

Mitchell's background also includes an Academy Award for best Experimental Student Film, along with other awards. Mitchell's footage has appeared in hundreds of productions, as he is also owner/DP, of Blue Sky Stock Footage. As a stock footage company owner, Mitchell is also adept at digital delivery of completed work. Mitchell, is also a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, LA, and his early work included being a 1st AC, on the 70mm artistic masterpiece "BARAKA". Billie can work anywhere in the world, but his main base of operations are in Washington DC and New Mexico.
