I am a photographer and cinematographer based in Spokane, Washington. I have the distinction of being formally trained not only in the industry, but at the world-renowned Brooks Institute of Photography. I studied lighting, composition, and advanced techniques such as Ansel Adams’ Zone System, high-speed stop-action photography, and high-speed video. My education, combined with an unparalleled inventory of equipment puts me in a truly distinctive position to create cinematic imagery. My strong background in lighting has led to numerous jobs as a gaffer. My lighting style feels very natural to viewers. I sculpt light to define shape, highlight details, and to create mood. I am an easygoing character with an warm personality. I have a true "love of the game." I have been active in cinematography for 15 years, and still photography for 25 years.

My experience encompasses a range of diverse projects including feature films, episodic TV, commercials, and documentaries. I have worked for clients such as Anheuser Busch, AbbVie Pharmaceuticals, HBO Sports, Entertainment Tonight, American Express, Amazon, Comcast Cable, BNSF Railway, and American Family Insurance. My work has appeared on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Netflix, ABC, CBS, A+E, Lifetime, and UFC.

Currently, I film with a Canon C500 Mark II 6K cinema camera with Canon CN-E cinema lenses. I can outfit a production with everything it needs, including movie-quiet generators complete with power distribution; grip trucks; a studio to shoot in; grip equipment, including overheads up to 20x20 feet in size; high-end light fixtures, including ARRI SkyPanels and ARRI M-series HMIs; a 30-foot Jimmy Jib; and wireless 4K production monitors.

I embrace a collaborative creative process and a fun yet professional atmosphere at all stages of production. As an experienced cinematographer, I take a highly methodical approach to each project, utilizing theory and creativity to achieve beautiful imagery.
