My name is Evilise Quijano.I have been a makeup artist for 15 years. I started at a NARS makeup counter and now work on independent productions in the New York / Los Angeles area. I received formal SFX makeup training at the QC Makeup Academy, where I was certified, and additional training and certification at Empire. Since my certification, which included 27 weeks, I have worked on dozens of short films, music videos, commercials, and shoots, totaling months of on set time. One of my latest projects, a pilot pitch, garnered me a nomination for best-makeup at the IndieX Fest in Los Angeles, a competition that included 23 countries.
I am well versed in working on film sets, under tight timelines, and on several performers at one time. My portfolio of work is comprehensive and includes cuts, slashes, bruises, bullet wounds, decay, and other 3D effects. I can create prosthetic as well as masks. I am also very familiar with laying hair, creating beards, mustaches, sideburns and other hair effects such as extensions and old age. If a shoot calls for much more standard hair and makeup, or perhaps something more glam, I can accomplish that as well.
I am currently looking for full or part-time work as an on set makeup artist, either as Key or as an assistant. I am based in New York. I am willing to travel. I’ve also worked with all types of budgets.
I have been in the industry since 2005.
